BreakThrough Analyzer (BTA) – Dynamic Gas Adsorption and Separation Characterization
The Micromeritics BreakThrough Analyzer (BTA) is a versatile, high-precision system for gas and vapor adsorption analysis under process-relevant conditions. Designed for both transient and equilibrium studies, it delivers reliable, reproducible data on adsorption capacity, selectivity, and separation efficiency — ideal for materials such as zeolites, MOFs, and activated carbons.
With up to six precision mass flow controllers, two vapor sources, and patented blending valves, the BTA offers complete flexibility in gas mixing and flow control while minimizing dead volume. The thermostated environmental chamber ensures uniform temperature up to 200 °C, while the rugged resistance furnace allows automated sample activation up to 1050 °C. Optional integration with mass spectrometers (MS) and FTIR analyzers enables detailed gas identification and quantification.
