ICCS – In-Situ Catalyst Characterization System

The Micromeritics ICCS enables in-situ catalyst characterization under true reaction conditions, combining Pulse Chemisorption and Temperature-Programmed Analyses (TPx) without removing the sample from the reactor. Designed to integrate seamlessly with dynamic laboratory reactors such as the Micromeritics Flow Reactor, ICCS allows direct comparison of catalyst properties before and after use—preserving catalyst integrity and eliminating contamination risks.

With automated gas flow control, high-sensitivity TCD detection, and independent temperature-controlled zones, ICCS delivers precise, real-time data on the number of active sites, reducibility, and surface chemistry of catalysts.

At Prisma Scientific, our specialists provide setup, training, and interpretation support, helping research teams implement ICCS methodologies for advanced catalyst design and stability studies.

Key Applications

  • Catalyst activation and deactivation studies

  • TPx and pulse chemisorption under reaction conditions

  • Determination of active metal sites

  • Reaction mechanism and reusability analysis

Why Choose ICCS

The ICCS combines dynamic precision, automated operation, and full containment to generate high-fidelity catalytic data under realistic process conditions. It’s the essential link between laboratory reaction testing and real-world catalytic performance.
